Photographer Antoine Verglas offers an exceptional auction package for the St Barths Dinner featuring a limited edition St Barths photo box containing ten of the artist’s most iconic images of the island. The photographer has created two collections of photographs, each limited to an edition of just ten, and the winning bidder will have their choice between the “Lighthouse” and the “Mini Moke” collections. The photo box includes ten picture frames of 20 x 13.5 inches each comprising three triptychs plus a cover. Each of the images appears in color on one side and in black and white on the other. In addition to their chosen collection, the winning bidder will receive the “treasure trunk” pedestal on view at Gala One which is wholly unique.
Furthermore, the winning bidder will be able to join the ranks of figures such as Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer, and more, by having their own portrait taken by Antoine Verglas. You’ll be able to choose between St Barths, New York City or the Hamptons as the setting for your portrait sitting, and you will receive a selection of digital images plus a beautiful 30 x 40 inch fine art print of your chosen image.
Verglas was born in Paris and moved to New York in 1990. Pluck and persistence paid off, with a documentary style photo series for French Elle which featured some of the top names in modeling. Shooting Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer, Stephanie Seymour, Estelle Lefébure Hallyday and Cindy Crawford at home in very personal portraits just as they were reaching celebrity status was his big break, and indicative of the style which has become the Verglas signature. This intimate style of capturing the person behind the camera has led to the rapid pace of work Verglas now has shooting for the world’s top fashion magazines.
He shares his life today between his studio in Manhattan and St Barths where he comes to work regularly. His attachment to the island dates from the early 90’s when he met his wife Christiane, to whom he owes a first child, Julien, born on the island, a second one, Adrien, born in NYC, and a shop, Clic Gallery, located in Gustavia and in the US since 2008.

One of the most important figures in modern musical history, John Lennon’s fame goes well beyond the Beatles, and his face is instantly recognizable thanks to his signature gold-rimmed Windsor style eyeglasses. This is an extremely rare opportunity to own John Lennon’s own eyeglasses – owned and worn by Lennon during his lifetime.
Lennon had bad eyesight from an early age, but it wasn’t until late 1966 that he discovered what later became his most iconic and recognizable trademark – the Windsor glasses. From late 1966 onwards, Lennon wore the Windsor-styled eyeglasses practically every day.
With exceptional provenance, the pair of glasses are housed in a protective case, and are accompanied by a presentation box with silk inner lining. There are an endless number of photos where Lennon is seen wearing the exact same, or extremely similar, pair of eyeglasses. This is a truly remarkable piece of Beatles memorabilia – and arguably one of the most iconic items in pop culture history.
Provenance
The pair of eyeglasses was gifted by John Lennon (1940-1980) to Allan Williams (1930-2016), who was one of the key figures in The Beatles’ inner circle and often referred to as the Fifth Beatle. Allan Williams was the original booking agent and the first manager of The Beatles. Williams later gave the glasses to his friend Sam Leach (1935-2016), who also worked with The Beatles as the band’s promoter in 1961 and 1962. In the accompanying letter of provenance from Sam Leach, he writes that the “spectacles” were a former property of John Lennon and that he got the pair from Allan Williams in “1987 or 1988” who had a “collection of Beatles items”. Leach ends the letter by writing that “Allan also recalls giving me the spectacles.”

Chris Levine
Lightness of Being (St Barths Dinner for Gala One), 2024
Giclée print with hand embellishments
108 x 90 cm (42 1/2 x 35 1/2 in)
Chris Levine is a light artist who works across many mediums in pursuit of a meditative experience through image and form. Levine is perhaps best known for producing what is already being described as one of the most iconic images of the twenty-first century, Lightness of Being. With light as its message, the sensational portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II presents an utterly fresh depiction of the most famous woman in the world.
Levine had two historic sittings at Buckingham Palace for which he styled the Queen, selecting her clothes and jewelry for the portrait including the ceremonial diamond diadem crown. The National Portrait Gallery called it “the most evocative image of a Royal by any artist.”
Levine has had solo exhibitions at a number of institutions and galleries, including a 2021 career-defining solo exhibition at the prestigious Houghton Hall, England that broke all paid attendance records.
Other special exhibitions include Collectors Contemporary, Singapore; Annenberg Foundation, Los Angeles; Museum of Modern Art, New York; National Gallery, Scotland; and at The Royal Opera House, Saatchi Gallery and National Portrait Gallery in London.
This past November, Levine travelled to the fourth annual Noor Riyadh Light Art Festival, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he debuted two new works: Higher Power, a city-scale light display at the top of the Norman Foster’s designed Al Faisaliah Tower, and Light is Love, an immersive light installation in the Wadi Hanifa valley consisting of Chris’ signature ‘blipvert’ projecting the word ‘love’ in both English and Arabic and laser waveforms overlooking the valley.

Madagascar is often described as one of the last remote paradises. Its remarkable flora and fauna are a testament to the island’s isolation for about 88 million years; plants and animals on the island have evolved in isolation.
Madagascar is home to an abundance of animals found nowhere else on Earth. 90% of all plant and animal species are endemic. This distinctive ecology has led ecologists to call Madagascar the “8th continent.”
One of the celebrated species is to be found just off the island: the humpback whale, with adults measuring between 14.5 and 20 metres in length and weighing from 34,000 to 45,000 kilos. The whales migrate in droves during the winter months, offering spectacular displays off Madagascar’s coast and creating perfect opportunities to witness what is an extraordinary and breathtaking event.
Six people (three couples) will have the unique opportunity to spend an adventurous week with renowned explorer Johan Ernst Nilson among jumping whales and strange animals that look like nothing else on Earth.
After spending days out exploring, evenings will be spent in the new luxury resort Voaara, that is designed and created by the world’s leading hotel gurus - Philippe Kjellgren. His “PKs-List” is often referred to as the Guide Michelin of hotels, and the new Voaara is the fruit of decades of investigating and learning from 2000 hotels.
Together with local guides, Johan will show you marine wildlife and local endemic species that have lived on this remote island for millions of years.

Alec Monopoly, originally from New York City, primarily works in urban environments of major cities around the world, captivating audiences through his installations, live paintings and murals. He works across many different mediums to subversively depict various iconic pop culture characters. His rise to fame came from exposing the true problems of our society: Capitalism versus Religion and Wealth. Alec Monopoly’s artistic origins stem from his mother, an artist. He later abandoned traditional academically driven art classes to pursue an individual methodology.
Always looking to create something new, for the St Barths Dinner by Gala One Alec Monopoly has conceived of a new artwork that takes as its canvas a beautifully restored antique steamer trunk by Louis Vuitton. With Monopoly’s signature style, the artist transforms an iconic piece, bringing it firmly into the modern era.
